Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy (the “Policy”) explains what cookies are, what types of cookies are placed on your device when you visit PureWell Sciences' website, and how we use them. This Policy also governs our use of similar technologies.

This Policy does not address our general handling of your personal data. To learn more about how we process your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are sent to or accessed from your web browser or your device’s memory. A cookie typically contains the name of the domain (internet location) from which the cookie originated, the “lifetime” of the cookie, and a randomly generated unique number or similar identifier. A cookie also may contain information about your device, such as user settings, browsing history, and activities conducted while using our website.

There are different types of cookies.

Session cookies

Session cookies expire at the end of your browser session. PureWell Sciences uses these cookies to help you use our website more efficiently, by allowing us to learn more about how you use our website during a single browser session.

Persistent cookies

Persistent cookies are not automatically deleted when you close your browser. These types of cookies are used to help you sign in to our website quickly and for analytical purposes.

First-party cookies

First-party cookies are placed on your device directly by us. These cookies are used to adapt our website to your browser’s language preferences and to better understand how you use our website.

Third-party cookies

Third-party cookies are placed on your device by our service providers, which helps us provide you with a satisfying and safe experience on our website. We do not have control over cookies placed on your device by third parties. Generally, we use the following types of third-party cookies: security cookies, analytical cookies, and advertising cookies.

For example, we work with the following service providers that use third-party cookies on our website:

Google (via Google Analytics) – Google Analytics is a Google service that uses cookies and other data collection technologies to collect information about your use of PureWell Sciences' website, reporting website trends. You can opt out of Google Analytics by visiting www.google.com/settings/ads or by downloading the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Zendesk – Zendesk is a third-party software that provides customer support management. Zendesk uses cookies to help us properly respond to customer requests in a timely manner.

Cloudflare – Cloudflare uses cookies to identify trusted web traffic to our website.

We do not permit any of the above service providers to collect any of your personal data on PureWell Sciences to utilize for their own purposes. These service providers are subject to confidentiality agreements with us and/or other legal restrictions on their use or collection of any personal information. Third-party cookies are covered by the third parties’ privacy policies. Therefore, should you have any questions regarding the use of the cookies by third parties, please contact them directly.

Other similar technologies

Meta Pixel. We use Meta Pixel to collect data about your actions on our website. This data may include which pages you visit, the time you spend on each page, and the actions you take. The data collected is used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to personalize the content and ads presented to you. The information collected through Meta Pixel is transmitted to Facebook. Your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook server as soon as you have agreed to the use of tracking technologies requiring your consent. The processing of this data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook’s data policy. To opt out of Facebook’s interest-based ads, follow these instructions from Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/help/568137493302217

A web beacon is a small, transparent image (also known as a “pixel tag,” “web bug,” or “GIF”) that contains a unique identifier. It is embedded into a website or an email. When your browser reads the code of the website, it communicates with our server to display the image. Through this process, we can acquire information such as technical specifications of your device, operating system, and settings being used. It can also track your activities during a session. Additionally, it allows us to track when each email was opened, from which IP address, and from which device. We use this information to improve our email communication.

Local shared objects, commonly called “Flash cookies”, are pieces of data that websites that use Adobe Flash may store on a user's computer to facilitate the Flash functionality. We may use Adobe Flash to display graphics, interactive animations, and other enhanced functionality. Local shared objects can track similar parameters to cookies, but they can also provide information on your use of the specific feature that the cookie is enabling. For example, if it facilitates the display of a video, then we can receive details of how much of the video was watched and when viewing stopped.

HTML5 local storage. HTML5 is the fifth version of the HTML language and contains functionality that allows information to be stored locally within the browser’s data files. HTML5 local storage operates similarly to cookies but differs in that it can store larger amounts of information and does not require an exchange of data with the website’s server.

Fingerprinting is a technique that involves combining a set of information elements to uniquely identify a particular device. These information elements include, for example, data from the device's configuration, CSS information, JavaScript objects, installed fonts, installed plugins in the browser, use of any APIs, HTTP header information, and clock information.
